10. Atomic Bomb
In 1945, two atomic bombs were dropped days apart in the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the Allied Powers led by the United States of America. This brought to an end the Japanese resistance that ultimately closed a bloody chapter in the history of humankind – the Second World War. When this happened, a chilling prediction by Nostradamus was fulfilled in one of his writings.
9. The Death of Henry II
Henry II was a French king who loved watching and participating in joust tournaments. He was married to the notorious Catherine de Medici of France. In one highly watched tournament, he battled Gabriel Montgomery who was chief guard of the Scottish king. Their collision ended with Henry II being hit in the eye. He died from Septicemia after 10 days. This led to the decline of joust as a sport in France.
8. The rise of Adolf Hitler
Many, many centuries before Hitler rose to power and led Nazi Germany, Nostradamus already predicted a man named Hister would lead Germany in war and in tragedy. The prediction made by Nostradamus was so specific that even Hitler’s name, his invasion of France, and even Hitler’s defeat under the hands of the Allies were symbolically predicted and written by Nostradamus.
7. The Great London Fire
A great fire swept the city of London in 1666 and wiped out much of the city and also caused several deaths. What is even more chilling is that this fire was predicted by Nostradamus more than 100 years before it actually happened.
6. The 9/11 attacks
This is so far perhaps one of Nostradamus’ most contemporary predictions. The bombing of the twin towers of the World Trade Center led by Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden was illustrated by his writing and prophecy of a great catastrophe that befell on the New City, now identified as New York City.
5. Assassination of the Kennedy Brothers
The 1963 assassination of John F. Kennedy while he was attending a parade in Dallas, Texas has been predicted by Nostradamus back in the 1500’s. Furthermore, the fatal shooting of his brother Robert in 1968 was also predicted by the physician.

Napoleon Bonaparte remains to be one of history’s most notorious and enigmatic personalities. His rise and sweeping power and influence on France and the whole of Europe was already foretold by Nostradamus 200 years before Napoleon was born.
